ABIGAIL NAOMI KIRKE
name: my full name is abigail naomi kirke, but most people just call me abby.
age/year: i'm sixteen, and in my sixth year at hogwarts.
date of birth: i was born on march seventh!
house/occupation: i'm obviously a gryffindor! lion forever, and all that!
bloodstatus:halfblood, not that it really matters...
wands: my wand is nine and one quarter inches long, made of juniper wood, with a unicorn hair core.
broom: i don't actually own a broom, as i don't play quidditch.- - - - - - -
height: i'm a bit on the shorter side, standing at exactly five foot, three inches.
weight: i'd say i'm about one hundred and thirty one pounds, but who knows! i never bother looking at the scale.
general description: you want to know what i look like? i would've thought you could tell by just looking at me, but alright! as i mentioned before, i'm more on the short side height wise, with a relatively curvy build. my hair is a pale blonde with a few darker undertones, and it falls just bellow my shoulders in softly defined curls. my eyes are a mixture of both my parents, as i seem to have inherited my mothers eye color, (bright blue), and my fathers shape, (thin and almond shaped).
face claim: i've been told i look a lot like this muggle actress... ashley benson, i think her name was?- - - - - - -
likes: my likes? well let's see here... i love anything that's teal! it's my absolute favorite color; i even have a teal patterned bedspread and matching pillow cases back home! i'm also pretty fond of muggle cars... my dad has this really old truck that's a sort of pastel yellow! how cool is that?! i have this thing that muggles call a learners license, so i can drive as long as i have an adult over 18 who has their official license, which is pretty fun. caramel popcorn is another of my favorites, the salty/sweet combination is perfect, and if it's the really good popcorn it'll just melt in your mouth! what else... oh! i really love watching quidditch. i'm a pretty rubbish flier myself, but i find the games absolutely enthralling. herbology is also my all time favorite class. i love being able to dig around in the dirt and there are so many different types of plants that you could study it all your life and not know them all! oh, and did i mention i'm really into girls? it's not really any secret, but there are still a few people that don't know. i'm actually really into this hufflepuff girl right now, although she doesn't know it... can that count as a like? i think it should. last one! now don't laugh... but i absolute love these muggle treats called twinkies dipped in coconut sorbet. they're absolutely delicious!
dislikes: my first dislike is boys. like ew, gross, who invited them to this party? but actually they don't make horrible friends... i just don't like them when it comes to dating. merlin, this one is going to be harder than i thought. did i mention i don't hate many things? oh, but come to think of it i really dislike my anxiety. it's horrible, because one minute i'll be absolutely fine, and then the next i'll be a sobbing pile of mush on the floor. and the stupidest things will trigger it! but not many people know about it, so if you could keep that under wraps i'll love you forever. i'm also not too fond of fish. it's not the taste, but i find that no matter how you cook it, it always has that weird fish smell. might as well throw my least favorite subject in here as well; astronomy. i just can't be bothered to spend two or more hours looking for all the bloody planets ans stars. they all look the same, so who cares! i also don't really like it when people i'm close to yell at me. it's so overwhelming, because i try so hard to make sure that the people i care about are happy, and that i'm not doing anything to hurt them that it usually triggers my anxiety, and that's just a whole lot of mess that isn't nice to deal with. overly floral scents really aren't my thing either; i prefer the spicy ones like cinnamon and cloves. what else... i guess i don't really like chunky jewelry. smaller, simpler pieces are more my style. hard cider is another dislike of mine; i had some at a party over the summer and it made me sick, so definitely not something i'd drink again.
strengths: my strengths? okay! well i'm pretty outgoing, and have no trouble making new friends. i figure that if you don't know them, and make a fool of yourself while trying to become your friend that you aren't really losing anything. i'm also a very loyal person; if i consider you my friend i'lldo pretty much anything to keep you happy. other than that, i'd say i'm also pretty good at this muggle game called twister.
weaknesses: oh, merlin... i have a lot of these, but i guess i'll give you my top three. the first is one you already know about; my anxiety. i don't know, i just feel as if i'm letting it hold me back because i don't want it to affect the people i do things with. my second biggest weakness would have to be girls that smell good. oh my goodness. if you smell good i can guarantee that i will be attracted to you. last weakness would probably be that if i see something that looks like a challenge, i tend to have the need to complete the 'challenge' which usually leads to a huge amount of reckless/dangerous behavior.
dementor: my worst memory would have to be when i was about nine, and mt younger brother broke his arm while we were climbing the tree out in our backyard. it was an accident, and there was nothing i could've done to stop it from happening, but to know that he was hurting so badly and that there was nothing i could do to stop that hurt was horrible.
boggart: my biggest fear would be that i was all alone without my friends and family. they're what keep me going, and i honestly don't know what i would do without them.
mirror of erised: my three desires? well that's easy! i'd love to find someone that i could actually start something serious with, graduate from Hogwarts and become some sort of Healer, and last but not least; go to Greece! I hear it's a lovely place, and there's just so much historic background to it.
amortentia: my favorite four scents would have to be mint, the ground after it rains, peaches, and molasses.
veritaserum my first true secret is, of course my anxiety. not many people know, and i really don't like when i have to explain it to people... so yeah, that's definitely staying a secret. my second true secret is that i have a pretty big crush on m.c.r. don't know who that is? well that's why it's considered a secret, bud!- - - - - - -
mother: kerry kirke (nee bundy)
father: andrew kirke
siblings: ---- kirke
pets: a large sheepdog named brandy
history: i had what i consider to be a perfect childhood; my parents were dotting, and because of my brother and i's close proximity in age we got along very well. the first few years of my life were filled with cuddles, long walks in the parks around my house, fun-filled family time, and a whole bunch of adventures. my brother and i loved to explore, and we often ran around the backyard for hours pretending to be cowboys on the run, or high society socialites attending fancy tea parties. my parents used to say we were the perfect pair, and that they'd never seen any two siblings as close as we were. and i'm pretty damn proud to say we're still that close today!
anyways, i got my letter when i was eleven, just like everyone else. my parents hadn't been all that surprised, as my dad is a wizard, but it was still mind boggling to me! my first walk through diagon alley was magical, and i can remember running from shop to shop, attempting to see everything i possibly could before having to leave. if i remember correctly, the train ride to the school was like that as well. merlin, i must've said hello and introduced myself to everyone within a 30ft. radius of where i was sitting.
my sorting was insanely fun, (i'm pretty sure the hat is still recovering). i asked it millions of questions, and it was pretty flabbergasted by the end, but it did still put me in gryffindor... so i guess that's a good thing!
the first couple of years were pretty uneventful. i wasn't really into many of my classes, so they were mainly spent playing x's and o's with anyone that would play with me and sending spitballs around the class. i miraculously was still able to pass my finals, though, so no problems there!
my fourth year was where life really got interesting; i finally figured out that i dig girls, not guys! i was at one of my first parties ever, and you know what fourteen year old girls are like at parties... they drink way too much and end up passed out on the sofa or in a closet with some random guy. well, let me tell you that i ended up in a closet with some pretty awesome girl! i didn't really know what i was doing, but it just felt right. and she didn't intimidate me as much as a guy would have, so it was a lot more relaxed. she also showed me a few tricks... so watch out ladies!
my fifth year was relatively uneventful, and now i'm in my sixth year, and pretty pumped to see what the future has to hold for me!- - - - - - -
