CHARLOTTE ELAIN MAYBURY
name: my full name is charlotte elaine maybury. age/year: i'm sixteen, and in my sixth year at hogwarts. date of birth: i was born on december twenty third in 2007. house: i was placed in hufflpuff! bloodstatus: i'm a muggleborn... wand: it's eleven and three quarter inches, made of cedar wood with a unicorn hair core. broom: i quite like watching the games, but i've never actually flown before... which means i don't have a broom!
- - - - - - -
height: i'm kind of short, standing at about five feet, three inches... but i've never really minded! dylan always says that i'm just funsized. weight: about 104 pounds, but it sort of changes depending on what i eat and all. general description: you want to know what i look like? but mr. invisible, you can already see what i look like! you want me to explain anyways? well i think that's kind of silly, but alright.
as i already said, i have a relatively small build. my hair is naturally brown, but i've been dyeing it this bright magenta-like color for a few years! i really like it, and it suits me way better than my real color! as for my eyes, they're rather large and circular. they're a really dark, sort of coffee like brown, and i've always liked them.
my nose is rather straight, ending in a small point. so... yeah! that's all i can really think of! face claim: loads of people tell me i look like this muggle actress, ariana grande... but i don't really see it.

likes: my likes? well geez, i like everything! you want me to be more specific? alright... i'm quite fond of bubbles, salt water taffy, painting, balloons, swimming/water/the beach, my friends and family, stuffed animals, divination, care of magical creatures, herbology, and toast with marmalade. dislikes: i don't really not like a lot of stuff... but i'll try! i really don't like nightmares, small dogs, being alone, arithmancy, transfiguration, dark clothes, people taking advantage of me, being constantly serious, pepper imps, and pudding. strengths: i'm pretty good at making people laugh, painting, and putting together balloon animals. weaknesses: cute animals are of course going to be on this list! i mean, who could resist their cuddly little faces?! oh, and i'm really bad at being serious for long periods of time, and transfiguration. dementor: i don't know, mr. invisible... most of my memories are happy ones! and i really don't like thinking about bad things. i still have to? well there was this one time when i was little that i guess might qualify.
when i was little, my brother and i used to go down to this little pond. it was only a few blocks away from our house, and in the summertime it was where we spent a huge part of our day! the water was always warm, and we knew every single crevice and pebble like the back of our hands. anyways, one of the times we went there, i went underwater for maybe thirty seconds, and when i came back up, dylan was gone. i didn't think anything of it until he didn't come back five minutes later. i searched the entire pond, making sure he hadn't gotten tangled up in the weeds, or hiding to play a prank. but i still couldn't find him.
by that time i'd started crying, and i can remember dragging myself out of the pond, not even able to see when i heard him yelling. i was so relieved to just hear his voice, that i didn't even care why he had disappeared. mum says that i had to sleep in his room that night because i was so afraid he'd disappear again. he explained everything to me as soon as he got home, (it was the girl who lived across the street, he stopped over to say hello). it didn't make it any less horrible an experience, and i don't think i've ever been that scared. boggart: my biggest fear is that all my friends and family will just disappear like dylan did that day. i don't think i'd be able to stand it if they left me alone. mirror of erised: my desires? like what i want to do, or what i want to happen in the future? cool! well i'd really like to work at magical menagerie when i'm older. it would be so awesome if i could work with all the animals every single day! i'd also really like to travel the world for a year after i graduate, and eventually find my soulmate! amortentia: i smell dog shampoo, gummy bears, the smell of water, and the fabric softener my mum uses. veritaserum: two secrets? i dunno... you're supposed to keep secrets! you won't tell anyone? that's different, then! first secret is that i accidentally turned all my roommates socks bright pink in my fourth year... my hair dye kind of, um... slipped into the wash. second secret is that i would really rather work with animals, like a muggle vet, than with people in a healing capacity

mother: celia grace maybury, forty-seven, primary school teacher
father: thomas shipley maybury, forty-seven, orthopedic surgeon
siblings: dylan ---- maybury, nineteen, healer in training pets: a saw-whet owl named melon, and a grey cat named olive.
history: charlotte elaine maybury, (affectionately known as ‘little red’ or charlie to her friends), was born in the middle of a winter storm on december twenty-second at exactly four fifty six in the morning. throughout the entire pregnancy, her parents medi-witch had continuously informed them that the baby was to be a little boy, so you can imagine their surprise when a daughter with a full head of hair was deposited in their laps. her mother, father and brother were overjoyed.
she lead a relatively normal childhood; she loved toddling around their spacious backyard, playing in the mud with her brother and making a general mess of everything. charlie was a relatively easy baby, always gurgling and waving her chubby fists around in the air.
up until her fourth birthday, she knew nothing about anything remotely scary, (her parents were just a tad overprotective). but when her aunt anna came to visit for her birthday, and presented the youngest maybury with a beautiful doll, all hell broke loose. that was charlie’s first real temper tantrum, she absolutely loathed the thing, and no one understood why. it was instantly taken from the house, and many apologies give to the flustered aunt. by that time, charlie had begun to speak, (although only to her parents and brother when no one else was around), and as soon as anna had left, charlie told them in her garbled baby talk, that the doll reminded her of a dead squirrel her and her brother had found in the backyard. It all makes sense now, doesn’t it?
when she was eight, her brother received his hogwarts letter. no one really knew what to think, but they accepted it, and he was soon off at hogwarts for his first year. by the time his second year had rolled around, charlie still hadn’t shown any signs of magic, and her parents had begun to think she didn’t have any magic in her like her brother did. however, they didn’t have to wait long to be proved wrong. her first day of third grade muggle school, she accidentally turned a girls hair bright green, (the other girl had dumped sparkles down her shirt… so it was all justified, right?)
charlie’s letter came just has her brothers had, and she was off to hogwarts. she was incredibly nervous, but after talking to a hundred other first years, she calmed down, and was happily sorted into hufflepuff.
her first three years at school passed by rather uneventfully, and her life remained normal until her fourth year, when she met a fifth year ravenclaw and fell head over heels. charlie never was very good at hiding her emotions, and he quickly figured out that she liked him. they dated until half-way through her fifth year, (by that time having gotten fairly far), when she found him snogging one of the gryffindor girls. she was heartbroken, and for weeks afterwards wasn’t her usual bubbly self, but as usual, she got over it, and doesn’t often allow herself to think about it now, as it still makes her upset.
she’s now in her sixth year, and looking forward to anything it has to throw at her!

alias: emma age: fifteen experience: fourish years sample: Not many people were fond of the colder months, especially those who enjoyed wearing dresses and skirts, or those who just didn’t like the so called mess that winter created. However, Odessa was one of those people that quite enjoyed winter; or at least the snow part. She loved the way everything looked when blanketed in a thick layer of the frosty crystals; she loved the way her hands felt when the soft wool of her mittens were present; most of all, she loved the amount of hot apple cider she could drink without feeling guilty. It was one of her favorite drinks, and when alone in her little flat, she often drank it by the bucket full. When she was at work or out and about in the city, she tried to keep her consumption level on the smaller side. She had no idea why… it was just something she did.
Odessa slowly made her way out of her flat, checking to make sure all the windows and door were safely bolted shut before going over to her fireplace. She grabbed her wand, and taking one last look around, apparated into Diagon Alley. Her little excursion didn’t have much of a reason behind it, she’d just felt like getting out of the house, and Diagon Alley seemed the best place to start. Tipping her head to one side, she stood on her tip toes, looking at the different shops she had to choose from. She could always go to the Leaky Cauldron for a warm drink… but that was usually best enjoyed with either company or after a cold trek down the alley. Odessa cast her gaze further down the street, her eyes coming to rest on one of the bookshops. That would do! She’d been meaning to get a new book for ages, but hadn’t had the time what with her training and looking for Christmas presents.
She had never been inside Obscurus Books before, and the large space within surprised her. Nearly every available surface was covered in books, and the bookshelves were packed together like sardines. Smile softly, she carefully made her way around a stack of books, her fingers skimming over all the different books spines. Odessa paused for a moment, her eyes tracing the blocky lettering of one spine in particular before gingerly pulling it from the shelf. The Ice House She read, flipping the book over and reading the description on the back. By the time she had discovered that it was a mystery novel, the fact that it was by a muggle author had become apparent. Beaming, she continued skimming over the titles, her book safely clasp under her arm; only to walking into someone and go tumbling to the floor. She sat there for a few minutes, a slightly stunned look covering her face before she realized what had happened.
Looking up, she smiled sheepishly at whoever she’d bumped into. ”Sorry ‘bout that, really wasn’t looking where I was going.” Odessa picked herself up off the floor, quickly dusting herself off before bending over and grabbing her book before returning to her regular height. ”Odessa Wood.” She extended the hand that wasn’t clutching the book, and waited for them to reply.

Welcome to Broomsticks & Fire! We are a post-potter rpg set in the year 2023.
Things have been pretty peaceful in the wizarding world.
That is, it was peaceful until an attack killed five aurors, one of them being Ronald Weasley,
beloved father, husband, and one third of the trio that had destroyed Lord Voldemort. Sure an auror's
job is dangerous, but to have five killed in one attack is almost unheard of anymore. It has several people
wondering if the Death Eaters are again at large. The Order of the Phoenix has been reactivated and is now being
headed by none other than Harry Potter himself, giving hope that their world can soon return to peace again.
Snow often covers the Hogwarts campus these days. Winter has begun and there is a sharp chill in the air. Better bundle up if you expect
to be going anywhere.

Happy Holidays! As a special treat we have revamped the site. If you notice anything off, let us know. Our new template is best viewed in IE and
We have re-opened the site! Hurrah! As you may have noticed, we have also added a new skin as well. "Love Struck - Second Edit" is the name of
our newest skin. We have kept the layout because it works well for the site. If you want to go back to the original skin, it should be labeled
as "Love Struck." Just a little note, the cbox may look a little out of place on that skin now as we have changed the colors to fit the new skin.
Also, if you haven't noticed. Our IC Cbox has been upgrated, so it now autorefreshes. Keep in mind that the IC is not a subsitute for threading
but a place to play in real time with your characters. Not everything (or anything) that happens in the cbox has to be part of the site plot.
