Whoever had said life was like a storm, they were exactly right. Danielle life had always been a bit unmanageable and that did not change completely. The wounds from her past still had much healing to do and the only movement of thought between her breath was the desire to prove herself worthy to her father. A part of her is still thinks had she had been better then her father would not have left the family. Change was rapid, especially lately when it was nothing but a constant transformation. It didn't even linger on the good long enough to satisfy the fragments with a false sense of respect. But the storm was nothing compared to the blizzard that had been spiraling out of control inside her. Despite her tough exterior, a emotionally fragile little girl lurks just beneath it. Despite the life of luxury she seems to be surrounded in, nobody truly know just what the family has gone through..
Danielle sat perched atop the sofa; staring absently into the fireplace in the Slytherin Common room. It had occurred to the grey eyed beauty that this was the last year she would be sitting here; she would no longer walk the corridors or sit in the great hall or go to classes and who really knew just what this looming war had in store for them. Her father was to be the new leader of the death eaters and it had been clear that her twin brother Damien would one day join him. While she knew it was great honor, something in the back of her mind wondered if that was truly the right thing. She of course would never say it aloud but Dani worried about the well being of her twin. Damien wasn't exactly the ideal mind for a death eater. Her dear brother had major anxiety and had to take a potion to keep it a bay, and he wasn't what one would call a typical Slytherin student. The Nott family was well known in the wizardry world and from the moment the Nott siblings had been born, great things had been expected from them.
The dark arts had always fascinated Dani and she became extremely gifted in the subject ,early on and if a effort to keep her mind and emotions protected, she learned the skill of Occlumency. Her brother on the other hand, was rather fond of reading and learning; a trait which in the beginning had both their mother and father worried that he would be sorted into Ravenclaw instead of Slytherin. Dani had been a bit concerned early on, herself but things worked out in the end.Alot had been on the brunette's mind as of late. She had become increasing concerned about the relationship between Damien and their father and it was about time she confronted her twin about it. Danielle was the more spirited and outspoken of the two of them and when she had something to say, it was going to be known. She had asked her brother earlier that day to meet her in the common room around dinner, which was a time she knew they could be alone without any other students to interrupt them.
