a small yawn escaped from adrian's lips as he walked around on the third floor. at the current moment it was his free period. he never would of thought the day would come when he kind of regretted having a free period. yes it was true that he could spend his free hour doing something productive, but there were just things that happened throughout the day that you needed to tell to someone, preferably a friend and at the moment it seemed all his friends were stuck in class. another yawn escaped his lips as he continued to walk down the long corridor. maybe it would be a better idea to sit somewhere and work on homework. it wasn't like he was going to go around his friends class rooms and poke his head in. a smiled at the idea. though he figured that the professors would not approve. finding a seating area he plopped his bag on the floor and took a seat next to it. digging through his things until he found what his was looking for. it looked like a journal, but it was actually a planner. he may not seem like it, but adrian was terrible with keeping things organized. a planner helped him stay on track. as he quickly began to look over his planner, his ear perked up at the sound of footsteps. he was sure everyone, that wasn't in the commons or out on the grounds, were in class. as the footsteps got closer he couldn't help but be curious and look to see who it was. it wasn't someone he was used to seeing, meaning that it was someone he never met. or if he had he didn't remember. figuring it was rude to stare he went back to looking over his planner.

”Damn it. Where is it?” She spun around, heading down another corridor, darker than the first. Indiana was already late for a class, a week in and she was severely late for a class. Why did this damn place have to be so freaking big? Her American school had been only three stories, and they had managed to fit all the classes needed into the one school, not seven stories, or however many this place had, plus it’s extensive grounds including a vast forest with who knows what in it. And of course no one gave out maps here. It was like a college campus, but they at least had maps.
Indy plopped her bag down for a moment near a window. She looked out of it for a moment, half wishing she could turn the place into a dollhouse for a moment so that she could take the lid off and find her freaking Charms class. She finally picked her bag up and headed down a hall only to stop again as she saw someone at the other end of it.
Finally, someone who might be able to help me, she thought as she hurried down the stone hall towards him. ”Hi. an you help me find the Charms classroom?” She called out in question, stopping as she neared him, a smile plastered on her face. The smile became far more genuine once she had seen his cute face, perhaps it even widened a little. ”Then again, I’m just about a half hour late as it is, so maybe we can get to know each other instead. I’m Indiana Fox, Gryffindor and all around southern girl,” she said with her slight southern accent.

maybe it would have been a better idea if he just went into the library instead. he wasn't sure, but adrian was the type to over analyze somethings. what if people saw him sitting out here and thought he was a stalker or something. adrian tried to look at it that way. but really he wasn't doing anything but sitting out in the hallway. true he was waiting for someone to come out of class, but that was only because he had free time right now and he didn't feel like walking all the way up to his dorm knowing he would have to walk all the way down to go to lunch or something. okay he needed to get back to what he was doing instead of trying to convince himself that he did not look like a stalker. he bit his lip softly as he read through his weeks agenda. he grabbed his quill and quickly began to read and mark things off his planner which were already completed. jotting down a few extras things that he had missed. footsteps he caught his attention looking up to see who was walking around the corridor. it was a girl, with dark brown hair, someone he hadn't see or noticed before. which was always the case with adrian. if he didn't know you, then you didn't know him. he didn't make it a habit to ignore people and tried to at least remember everyone's names, not just the ones that were always getting into trouble. but truth of the matter was that there were tons of students at hogwarts. it was going to take a miracle to remember them all. she seemed friendly enough at least it looked that way when she was walking towards him asking for help. he quickly shut his things, shoving them back into his bag as he stood up."yeah sure, actually you just passed it, classroom was on your left."adrian nodded in the direction of the classroom. a new student? he did not look like a first year. he chuckled softly at her next comment."really, sleep past your alarm? or did the stairs give you a hard time."he said jokingly a smile on his face. well she sure was straightforward."sure, we can exchange our life stories, indiana fox."adrian said with a playful smirk."well its nice to meet you, adrian stone."

Indy gave a small, breathy chuckle before plopping down on the floor next to Adrian's things, putting her's on the other side of her. She patted the floor next to her, indicating he should sit back down. "Do ya always stand when someone comes up to ya? Or do ya only do it for the girls," She asked with a smile. Her smile had stayed on her face the entire time, partly because she was trying to be nice, but mostly because she was trying to make a good impression because she thought he was cute. She wonder if it were true, what everyone said about Ravenclaws; that they were the smartest house at Hogwarts.
”So um, Adrain, I still get a little confused by the house colors and all. Yer Ravenclaw right?” Okay so maybe sometimes she really sucked at conversation, sometimes. Of course sometimes those she talked to came to her rescue, with questions of their own.
”Oh you know, slept through the alarm, had to take the same stairs five times, went in two circles on the wrong floor. These halls can be so confusing.” She said, then inwardly sighed. She sighed because now she just felt like she was being a huge ditz. Why did a girl usually sound like a ditz when trying to cold flirt with someone they had never met? Ah yes, because you didn’t know if you had anything in common with the intended target and so you pretended to be interested in everything they said. She still hated it, even if she could fathom the reason.
