Head under water And they tell me to breathe easy for a while The breathing gets harder, even I know that Made room for me but it's too soon to see If I'm happy in your hands I'm unusually hard to hold on to Blank stares at blank pages No easy way to say this You mean well, but you make this hard on me --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I learned the hard way That they all say things you want to hear And my heavy heart sinks deep down under you and your twisted words, Your help just hurts You are not what I thought you were Hello to high and dry Convinced me to please you Made me think that I need this too I'm trying to let you hear me as I am
Laurel was having a difficult time doing anything lately. Things were extremely messed up. Her relationship with Thad just didn’t seem to be working out. There were several different levels to the not working out either. There was the fact that Thad was clearly still attached or at least attracted to Jas. Which granted Laurel was okay with for some reason. Jas had recently stopped talking to her and giving her the cold shoulder and Laur actually felt bad. Jas and her usually got along decently so having her angry with her was tearing her to pieces. But something in Laurel told herself that Thad still wanted Jas and that was okay. It was more than okay because Laurel wanted more than anything to not feel guilty for doing a little more than just hanging out with Damien. The crush had been a few years in the making and she couldn’t’ stop it. Yeah she felt bad for Dahlia but wouldn’t her best friend be at least a little happy? What was she meant to do? Laurel was stuck in a large hole and she wasn’t quite sure how to dig herself out. Not to mention the practicing that went on in the tower with Damien. The practicing wasn’t just with charms and spells—no and Laurel actually felt bad. She wasn’t usually a dishonest person when it came to relationships. If someone was worth a relationship they deserved the truth. Laurel had left a note for Thad to meet her in the East Wing after class. Her stomach was in knots as she paced the wing.
What’s the worst that could happen Laurel? Thad, we need to break up because I have feelings for someone else and I mean I’m me I never have feelings for someone besides…you of course at the time but now it’s someone else and and well I think you also have feelings for someone else so it shouldn’t be a problem right? They could still be friends. Besides Laurel wasn’t quite sure she believed the whole Death Eater thing. She knew her father was in the ‘in’ crowd now because he was working as a double spy but Laurel didn’t feel like her whole life had to revolve around it. She wanted to do something with her life and that just wasn’t what she wanted to do. She inhaled as she placed her hands together as she paced again. Her hair lit from red, to blonde, to auburn and then back to red again as she went through the different emotions. So you know Damien Nott? Of course you do…I mean you hate him and hold grudges and and I kissed him so we should just end this now, right? Well that certainly wasn’t going to work. The last thing she wanted to do was have to name drop Damien. Her stomach lurched at the thought of Thad finding out it was Damien. The two had history, but it shouldn’t matter right? If Thad’s gazing eyes proved himself right then Jas was there and he wouldn’t need to talk to Damien.
Laurel bit down on her lip stopping by the wall before leaning her back against it. Most of the classes were filing out of the rooms. She held her breath for a moment then closing her eyes hoping that Thad possibly didn’t get the note. She was going to try and leave Damien’s name out of it. She was just going to try to break up with Thad again. She lost count of the attempt. She often just brought it up in conversation wondering what Thad was thinking about? Half the time she really didn’t want to know. The two were similar in their pasts. She just didn’t want to deal with the fact that maybe just maybe Thad would find out who it was. Could she really do this? Could she stand her ground? She wasn’t sure because if Thad got to angry it would just end up being like her father and she would back down. But not this time, this time was different because it was Damien. He was worth fighting for. She didn’t want the sneaking around, she didn’t want to stoop to that level. If she wanted to be with him then she would. If she wanted to leave the whole little ridiculous Death Eater circle behind, then she probably would. If she wanted to break up with Thaddeus Lestrange, well then it was going to just have to be now or never. Stick to your goals Laurel, you can do this. Don’t let him talk you out of it, be strong! Damien is worth it, you’re worth it, your future is worth it, do not GIVE INTO HIM!”
Is that why you wanted a love song? 'cause you asked for it 'cause you need one, you see I'm not gonna write you a love song 'cause you tell me it's make or break in this If you're on your way I'm not gonna write you to stay If your heart is nowhere in it I don't want it for a minute Babe, I'll walk the seven seas when I believe that there's a reason to write you a love song today

Ahh, the life of Thaddeus Lestrange. How to place it simply… a massive mess. There had been things going on in Thaddeus’ life that he wasn’t even sure of lately. His father, the DE, Theodore Nott. It was all just a little too much to handle. And, he wasn’t quite sure on how to take this all in. Although, he was finding an alternative that very moment. Smoke. - Lighting up the glass bowl, he took in a deep breath and twisted it slightly to get every last bit of taste out of it. He needed the high and he needed to relax. He wasn’t emotionally of mentally stable for anything his father had decided to toss in his direction. The notes.. Everything. Being pulled form his sixth year all because of a small issue that had happened - well, not that small being as he almost killed someone- but, the punishment he had gone through. The scars mentally and physically. What kind of monster raised their children they way his father had? Who would put him and his twin brother in serious danger? And, who would all his little sister to witness it all? His father of course… - Taking another drag from his pipe, he looked to the ground. His life was taking a huge fall and he was beginning to feel worthless and incomplete. Surely he had a wonderful girlfriend, but he was hardly ever faithful to the poor girl. If only he could have held himself together. Held himself together in order to settle down for her, but he couldn’t. He was too hung on someone else and he wasn’t about to tell her none of that for the dislike of sharing anyone.
Running his long fingers through that dark brown hair of his, he let out a puff of smoke and quickly dumped what was rest of his ashes to the floor. Thankfully it hadn’t been to important. But, now he was in need of getting to the prefects bathroom where he had promised Laurel to meet. Yes, Laurel Flint. The actual girlfriend Not one of those one night stands that he had tossed around every so often. But someone he was supposed to be one hundred percent loyal to and would always fail, no doubt. But right now he couldn’t tell he any of that. He wasn’t going to allow her to leave him behind. Not now. - Moving from the wall, Thaddeus moved from the dungeons to the staircases. His head hung low so no one would stop him or interrupt his line of thought. He was a thinker and would always be. Always allowing his mind to wander, which therefore, led him to nothing but problems and issues. Allowing him to think negatively. Especially lately. Hearing stories about Laurel spending time with Damien Nott. A said friend of his from years before not turned complete enemies. He wasn’t too fond of the man now and would never be. He wasn’t quite sure what had drove them to part, but he did find his way into his sisters knickers without a problem. Perhaps that was what had gotten back to him? Oh well. Thaddeus didn’t care anymore. Damien was no longer his problem and neither was his sister Dahlia.
Coming up the stairs to the fourth floor, he stopped suddenly. His mind wandering quickly as he had wondered what it was she had wanted? What was it she had wanted to see and talk to him about? A breakup? Certainly not. She knew better than to pull that sort of stuff with him. He was never one to let go and would not seize to let up on her fi she did. He had his ways, and he wouldn’t allow her to make such senseless decisions. Thaddeus was what had been meant for her. Not someone else. He had the power she seeked. Or, so he had thought she still wished for that. - Shaking his head, he continued up those long stairs finally coming to the fifth floor. Turning onto it, he continued down the hall until he had found himself standing outside of the bathroom. There, next to the door stood Laurel. If expressions could speak, they would have said it all. Something wasn’t right. - Narrowing his eyes slightly, he moved closer to her and glared. ”What is this? Couldn’t we have met in our own house?” Motioning to the other side of the castle, he took in a deep breath. Thaddeus had grown around his father to able to speak expressions. Something was worrying her and he could see the fear in her eyes. There was something she wasn’t telling him. Something she was hiding. ”Speak up. I haven’t got all day to sit around and listen to you whine about issues in class.- I have an enraged father to deal with,” That was as far as he would take it. She didn’t need to know anymore than that about his father.

Laurel jumped the moment she heard him near her. She was in trouble. How was she meant to stand her guard against him? He was so good at weaseling himself into a better light and she believed it. She wasn’t going to this time. She wasn’t going to play victim to another sad pity party. She was a big girl and if she didn’t want to do something or be with someone she wasn’t going to be. She would have to face her father eventually so Thad was good practice. If she couldn’t stand up against him then she didn’t stand a chance against the man himself. Quite frankly Laurel was just done playing the face. She wasn’t quite sure if she was ready to come out and say it but she was definitely sure that Thad’s first words annoyed her to no end. She immediately crossed her arms the hair turning the fiery red it usually did when she was annoyed. Their own house? She didn’t want to be some spectacle, especially if she was going to break up with Thad. She still cared about him and would want to keep his reputation decent but all in all she didn’t feel like it was everyone’s business to know theirs. Just as Laurel was about to claim that she was saving his pride he began to try her patience even more. She did feel bad they seemed to all have daddy issues but at the same time enough was enough.
”Oh, you mean it’s my turn now?” Laur questioned clearly not amused that he was rushing her and seem so disinterested. Damien was never like that. Even when she wanted to escape he wouldn’t let her. He knew things about her without even having to really ask that’s what she wanted. Not this fake pretend love. They were both kidding themselves if they thought this was ever going to work out. ”This is clearly not working, Thad. What are we doing? Neither of us are a relationship kind of person at all!” Laur walked closer to him keeping her steam up. She wasn’t about to let him find any openings to try and diffuse the bomb that was set off inside. ”You’re always off with someone, and I’ve attempted to be faithful but you know it just seems pointless when it’s only one person trying and lately, I’ve even given up—so what are we doing? Let’s just save all the drama and call it quits, you have a very intense father and I have a very foolish one we don’t need to complicate our lives any more then we have too, right?” Laur’s hair slowly faded to light blond as she walked towards Thad trying to force the smile on her face. He was everything and anything she could have wanted back then. But Laurel Flint was changing slowly for the better and Thad just didn’t fit that bill anymore. ”Besides I see the way you stare at her, Thad you should—do something about it,” Laur whispered the second half almost a little afraid of what her consequence was going to be but she promised herself from the beginning she wasn’t holding anything in.

Thaddeus had known exactly how to push Laurel over the edge. - or, well, anyone for that matter.- He was easily manipulative and was always quick to get what he wanted with anyone. Mostly, the female race. -- Looking her over, he smirked allowing a soft chuckle to escape his lips as she had begun to take a stand for herself. Was she mad? No matter how big and bad she had made herself out to be, nothing had scared him. She couldn’t make him back down. Not even if she had held a wand to his neck and threatened murder upon him. Thad didn’t care at all what would have been done to him. He let out an eerie sigh. ”If that is what you have come here for then - by all means- speak your word, Flint. I haven’t gotten all day like you. A meeting is a meeting and this moments talking is always slowing me down.” He took in a deep breath and slowly shook his head. ”And it seems you plan these ’small talks’ on the days my father wishes to speak. Something tells me you so this on purpose.” His eyes were now focused on hers as he had kept a close look. He had seen something else hidden deep within those eyes. Something along the lines of…regret? Perhaps? Raising that firm brow he wrinkled his nose. Just what he had expected. She wished to leave. Of course, this was where she has mistaken Thaddeus - yet again- for someone who will back down.
He slowly shook his head once again and pursed his lips. She was insane. -Or, was he the insane one?- ”Call it quits?” he questioned letting out a roar of laughter. ”Who are you to call the shots in this relationship, Flint? As soon as you had agreed to stay in a relationship with me, that agreement was final.” Thaddeus’ expression was vague. The look of seriousness had covered his chiseled face. He wasn’t about to let something go that he had worked so seemingly hard for. He enjoyed the company on the side. ”Speak all you wish to speak, Laurel. I am afraid I can’t quite give you your command. It’s foolish.” Clenching his jaw, he played back a few small pieces that he had seen the past week in his mind. He had seen Laurel; he had known exactly where she had been, and known exactly who she had been speaking to. The same one his betrothed was speaking with. Damien Nott. His stomach twisted at the name. His patience wearing thin with the boy as time had moved forward. So it had seemed - to Thaddeus- Damien was pulling the girls away from him. First his fiancé, and now his girlfriend. What else would he pull from him? His dignity? (Not that he had much of that left)
”I have been fooling around? Dammit, Laurel! You’re not as faithful as you claim to be either! Whoring yourself around with the man you know I can’t stand!” His anger was at its highest peak allowing his fists to clench themselves into balls; his face becoming slightly warm, and his cheeks flushed. ”Now, don’t you DARE come up to me and start slamming unnecessary conversation in my face, Flint!! I have seen you to… I have watched from afar… and I have seen the same damn look.” His steps grew closer as his temper had sky rocketed. Who was she to say such things? Then it happened. She had to bring up Jasmyn. A part of him that would never stop hurting. A part of him that he had hidden so well. But, her name had brought all sorts of emotions to a stand. --Swallowing hard, he clenched his jaw again. His chest heavy. ”You see nothing. And you know fucking nothing…” His hand found its way around her wrist as he had begun to squeeze slowly, escalating the pain. ”You know better than to bring Jasmyn up, but you do! - You do these things to push me.. To taunt me.” His grip was still as he had stopped himself. What was he doing?!

Laurel’s jaw dropped as Thad continued to be as rude as ever. He seemed to really have his A game face on today because she was ready to just walk out and not explain herself to him. If only that’s what she had done. Laurel’s hair immediately burned fire engine red as he continued to belittle her without even having to move a finger. She was glad she had insisted on doing this by herself because Damien probably would have just wanted to go already that he wasn’t worth their time. That was what she could think of him doing in a civil manner. This was going too far now. She was already outraged by his behavior towards her. She wasn’t quite prepared for what was going to come out of his mouth next. Agreement was final? Who was she? Her mother? Thad was exactly like her father and if she continued to sit back she would end up like the pathetic woman she called mom. Laur shook her head in detest as Thad continued to claim she didn’t have a say. ”You YOU are UNBELIEVABLE!” Laur finally shouted between his talking. He complained that she talked a lot? She was losing her temper. Laur had closed the space between them. Her arms crossing over her chest as she listened to him continue to rage about how she was meant to be acting.
However, she hadn’t prepared herself for the outburst that came next. Laur’s mouth dropped even further as Thad shouted about her own faithfulness. She started laughing almost scaring herself that the insane laughter came from her. ”Is that word even in your vocabulary? And whoring? Thaddeus we both know that you YOU haven’t even been remotely close to the word. I might have slipped up but I hardly doubt it was even to a quarter of the extremes you have been too behind my back! I’m here aren’t I? I’m trying to fix my wrongs! And you, you won’t even admit to them!” Laur shouted back that’s when things got heated and turned to the worse. Laur squinted as his fierce yelling began. She always called it fierce when her father did it because it rattled her bones. Thad was in the fierce yelling stage because she had brought up Jas. Laur squinted as he continued. ”I will always bring her up! And FINE, fine I admit it I have the same thing! That’s just it Thad! It makes no sense! We both have that look but it’s not at each other. We are being completely mental trying to force this!” Laur attempted to shout back still a little shaken. She had seen Thad get angry before but luckily it had never been aimed at her. Laurel let a small growl erupt from her lips as he claimed she knew nothing. They all claimed that. She was this stupid little girl that needed to be watched over by some man. It was always some man because it was clear she couldn’t do things by herself. It was always listen to her father, let Thad handle it, they would then yell until their hearts content. She was done! She was an intelligent young woman and she had finally had enough. ”I know EVERYTHING! She used to be one of my friends too!”
Laur finally threw in as he claimed she didn’t know anything. That’s when she felt his hand around her wrist. She immediately started struggling against him. She was pretty sure they were both ticking tomb bombs and one of them was bound to go off and the other was going to completely regret it—later on in life. She continued to pull at her wrist as he reinforced that fact that Laurel was attempting to hurt him. She rolled her eyes on the verge of furious. ” This isn’t punishment, or unfair! It’s just the facts! You don’t love me Thad, you love her! And that’s okay, don’t you get it? It’s okay to love her! This should be benefiting both of us, Laur shook her head as his hand was still around her wrist. ”I’ve been defending you! I’ve been constantly claiming that I owed you an explanation or owed you something because you were such a good friend, you were in the back, but—“ Laur ripped her hand from his so close to spitting in his face but she knew it was just going to escalate. ”I know you are going through hell! I KNOW, okay? But we can’t keep doing this, it makes NO sense,” Laur shook her head. ”It’s not his fault even, it’s me!” Laur tried adding in just to make sure Thad didn’t try to go after Damien. If Thad lost his temper again, Laur would probably do the unthinkable just to sink it into his brain she wasn’t this little fragile girl anymore that he could have fun with. ooc: I had to refrain her from spitting in his face but it still might happen! Let all the drama ensue xD [/blockquote] [/div] Is that why you wanted a love song? 'cause you asked for it 'cause you need one, you see I'm not gonna write you a love song 'cause you tell me it's make or break in this If you're on your way I'm not gonna write you to stay If your heart is nowhere in it I don't want it for a minute Babe, I'll walk the seven seas when I believe that there's a reason to write you a love song today

Thaddeus Eugene Lestrange. At most time he had been a very settling fellow. And others, a complete self centered ass. Well, sadly, Laurel had caught him on one of his self centered days. -- Listening closely to the words that had slipped slowly. -yet fiercely- from her mouth, Thad found his anger reaching its top point to the evening. As if the Gryffindor boy from earlier couldn't have added to it all when he had spoke ill if his poor deceased mother, Laurel had to stop in and place the final touch on the cake. The things she had tossed his way caused his grip to clasp down much tighter. He wasn't willing to let go of it until she had felt the pain. Felt the pain that he had held do deep within. "You're being a little too smart with that mouth tonight, Flint. - And, perhaps it may be best if you keep that closed for the rest of the evening of you wish to get any contact out of me." Ahh, yes. His usual games. At this point, he wasn't going to fall to her. She was weak. And he could see how bad she had strived to stand against him. "I also believe you are the one to blame for my unfaithfulness. Lacking on the attention I so deserve from you."
Thaddeus had felt his hand pull from hers as she began to run full blast at the mouth for a second or third time. -he wasn't completely sure- Thaddeus was just more enraged and furious that she had begun to talk back to him. And he hair color didn't help either. Who was she to be angry with him? After all, he was the one who had stood by her side and taken her under his wing as full responsibility. So, yes, he had tussled around some behind her back, but that was how Thaddeus had been. THAT was what had caused his relationship to fail with Jasmyn. As much as he had loved Jas, he wasn't about to admit to someone that he was hurt by it all. Hurt and torn by Jasmyn's decision to leave him. How pathetic would that have made him sound?! "You will not bring up her name EVER again. No matter how much it tempts your tongue out of anger. No matter how bad you wish to throw it in my face. - Because, if you do...." Thaddeus found his inner demon coming forth. Bringing nothing but pure anger and disturbing thoughts for the small girl before him. His eyes narrowed as his brows tagged quickly behind. "I will make you regret her name." After all of those years he had struggled with his father and the constant mental and physical abuse, Thaddeus found it impossible to hide his anger and unnecessary outbursts. He was ruthless and frightening.
Holding back all of his might from jumping in her direction, he stood there with his fosts still balled. His face twitching at both corners of his node. To him, her attitude was unnecessary and disgusting. "Your feelings in general should not be worn. Surely your father has taught you better than that, my dear. - And, to see you act out in such a fashion towards me-" he chuckled. "It makes you look weak. Both physically and mentally. - Looks like your father has raised an ill child." He shook his head knowing that would have gotten to her. He was easy to hurt others. Even the ones he cared for. Abd, of course I love you don't be silly. I would be trying to fix things and mend us if I didn't." He shook his head. His expression of anger hidden well into a plastered on smile. Something he had learned so well. "Damien doesn't love you. - And I know this." He shrugged. "He loves my fiancee. Obviously."

Laurel stared at Thad eyes wide open. He was blaming her for his unfaithfulness? Lacked attention? He was truly aggravating her and she wasn’t quite sure that had ever happened before. They used to be friends anyways but now; now he was playing for a different team. She didn’t want a part of any it anymore. Not enough attention, what did he want her to be? ”So you just EXPECTED me to cater to your every whim? Be a perfect housewife before I’m even of age, you knew that wasn’t about to happen walking into this relationship. You knew who I was!” Laurel’s voice rose again. Not really caring that Thad had been threatening her. Not even the old Laurel would appreciate this. ”I’m not your little rag doll,” Her hair fading to an all new fire engine red. She was fuming and she wasn’t about to just calm down after all that he was saying to her. ”OH, I’m not allowed to talk about Jasmyn? She isn’t even speaking to me right now because of this mess!” Laur yelled even louder this time.
He would make her regret saying Jasmyn’s name? Was that a threat? One moment Laurel looked up to Thad. He was everything she thought she wanted out of life and now here she was striving to break away from him and he was turning into her ultimate worst nightmare. ”To hell and back my feelings shouldn’t be worn Thaddeus! I’m a WALKING HAIRBALL OF EMOTION!” Laurel had always been self-conscious of her appearance and often trained in attempt to hide it but lately things had become so stressful she wore her feelings all the time. Laurel’s hair started fading the moment Thaddeus started in on how she disappointed him, her father, and well everyone. He knew that, he knew exactly what to say to diffuse the bomb. She didn’t want to become this pathetic person. ”NO, you are not manipulating me Thaddeus, I’m sick of this! You want to call me sick? Fine, call me sick, want to say my father raised me poorly, go on say it! He’s also incredibly foolish, which since I’m in the mess I took after him in that way as well! A pretty little fool that’s all my mother wanted in life,” Laur replied with a shake of her head.
Laurel froze in her step as he claimed he did in fact love her. That he wouldn’t be trying to fix it if he didn’t. He was lying. Laurel don’t be an idiot, you know he loves Jasmyn! Don’t be ridiculous! You need to break up with Thad so you can be with Damien, this is all for Damien. Your father won’t be upset if he knew it was for Damien. It’s okay, it’s going to be okay. Stick to it,” That’s when he finally hit a really hard nerve. Damien doesn’t love you. Lies. Dahl would know what to say, Dahl would know how to handle this. Damien would even know how to handle this. Did she believe Thad? Damien did just randomly finally admit feelings but that was just circumstance. It didn’t have anything to do with Thad and her in a relationship. Besides she did have feelings for Thad but over the time of watching him oogle Jas they had faded away because she knew she would never trump Jas. That’s when the nerve finally snapped. He claimed Damien loved Jas too. Everyone knew that Damien and Jas had a fling but that’s all it was…right? She couldn’t lose both guys to Jas. She was her friend who had been ignoring her ever since Thaddeus. It was clear she had a thing for Thaddeus too. Her brain was ready to explode. She hated feeling so completely confused. That’s when she made a huge mistake. Laur shoved Thad’s shoulder hard so he would get out of her face. ”Stop it! You’re lying, I just talked with him! You don’t know anything! Your just feeding me lies to get your way!” Laur pushed his shoulder again shaking her head the hair lighting back up to the bright red. ”Liar!” She spat again.

His pupils had begun to fully cover the color in his eyes; his face and neck flushing red with anger as he had listened to the small girl take an attempt at defending herself. Useless. It had taken every bit of self control to keep himself from lunging at her and bringing Laurel to her knees right where she had stood. In all reality, she was only another notch in his belt. Someone he could take hold of and got fear the thought of her turning back on him. She was weak in ever perspective - and, to be truthfully honest, he enjoyed that. He enjoyed every bit of it and how he could take full control of her. "Are you finished with your rants? Hmm? The Slytherin boy perked a brow as he had listened to her raise her voice. Did she know who she was screaming at?
"Disrespecting your father after he had given you the life? He has catered to you and placed you in a well respected home. Call him foolish?" He shook his head in anger. He too had a miserable life with his father but would never speak ill of the man after he had given him life and a second chance with his loyalty. Thaddeus was devoted to a man who tortured him day in and day out. A man who beat him down physically and mentally- tossing him through challenges; some life threatening. Just to make him who he was this very moment; Strong, emotionless, and vindictive. --Her voice had grown louder with every word. Calling him a liar.
Thaddeus' jaw tightened as she has squealed her last word. - His hand raised quickly as he had found himself wrapping his fingers quickly around her delicate neck, squeezing tighter and tighter. Slowly cutting out her air intake. "You filthy little whore!" With partial of his strength, Thaddeus shoved Laurel into the side of the wall, holding her as tight to it as he possibly could. "Do you really mistake who you're talking too? Calling me a liar! I know damn well what has been said. - No one wants you. No one can stand the ground you walk on; not even your father. You're in my hands now, and it will stay that way until I decide to let you go." Pulling her back from the wall, Thad tossed her to the cold cement floor stepping over her. "Have I made myself clear? You will no longer mention Jasmyn or Damien."

Laurel couldn’t explain that anger that was welling up inside of her. The fact that he continued to be little her. It was just how she remembered her parents early marriage. Every time her mother would speak her father would point out what was wrong with it. She was literally standing in the footprints of her mother. If she didn’t change her path she was going to end up brainwashed as well. She couldn’t and wouldn’t let that happen. Her head still fire engine red as Thad continued to slam comments against her. Laur’s eyes narrowed even more as he claimed she disrespected her father. She was literally talking to her father. What she saw turned from Thad to her father then back to Thad. Merlin—she was dating a younger version of her father?! Laur inhaled sharply shaking her head. She couldn’t stand this anymore. She refused to be a mother that didn’t defend her own daughter. She would not grow up and be her mother.
The moment liar slipped from her lips Laurel regretted it. She watched as Thad’s eyes grew darker. She was in trouble. She felt his hands grasp around her throat. Her air supply immediately cut off as she struggled against Thad. He was a lot bigger than her and she would certainly lose the battle if this continued. Thad wasn’t even using magic it was a good old fashion beating. She grasped at his hands trying to make him stop just as he had thrown her against the wall. She had been called a whore that didn’t damage her pride. But every moment his hands laid against her throat her hair faded from that bright red slowly to the beach blonde it was usually. She felt the right side of her face collide against the stone wall making her cringe. She could feel him holding her against the wall. Her side pleading for freedom as it hit against the side of the stone wall. She bit down on her lip listening to Thad continued to belittle her. Finally her hair turned white. Scared. Laurel had only seen her hair this color one other time. It was because of her father. Her once friend and confidant and maybe even lover at one point was now a nightmare.
Laurel landed against the floor, her wrist on the verge of snapping. She bumped her chin making her bottom lip bleed as her teeth sank into the flesh. She turned quickly staring back to Thad. Her breathing haggard. Let you go rang in her head. He acted like he owned her. She would not be her mother. She would not take it. She couldn’t let him do this to her! Thad then forbade her to say Jas or Damien’s names. She shook her head slowly sitting up. She had a tiny ounce of will leftover. She was pretty sure if she met her father at seventeen this was what she would find. She wouldn’t let him grow up and do the same to his daughters. Laur slowly got to her knees using the back of her hand to wipe the blood from her lip. ”I’m my own person, Thad. You can threaten me, push me around—I’ll get back up, but this is exactly why this is over,” Laur stated. Her eyes flashing a dangerous red color, her hair finally regaining some of its color. "You think you have power over me Thad, but you are mistaken,"
Is that why you wanted a love song? Every last inch of Thaddeus had burned with rage. He was stricken with how she had mouthed back to him - how she had screamed and labeled him in such a way. She had no right to say what she had. Thaddeus had owned the Flint girl now. She was in his hands and would not be able to get away from him even if she had tried. Coming at him and speaking the way she had earned her the marks she would forever carry on her body. Thaddeus Lestrange was ruthless. He had sought for only a few things in life; power, and a loyal wife. One who would stand to the side quietly and bare his children. One who would cater to him and follow through with his wishes. Laurel was far from that woman. She was stubborn and full of herself. He had to break that quick- or she would never make a good trophy wife for anyone.
Thaddeus watched her closely ad she had staggered to her knees. Laurel was weak, but somehow she still tried to pull her way through it all. Was she that dimwitted? His eyes caught hers as she looked to him. Did she truly expect him to let her go? Of course , in his mind, he had felt he owned every bit if her. As long as he was calling her his girlfriend, she would listen! "Don't waste your breath with me, Flint. You don't frighten me in the least. You're a dog - a dig who deserves the beating with the way you disobey me and my orders." again, she was getting carried away. Trying to fight her way through this.
Coming to her side, Thaddeus found himself wrapping his hand up in that burning red hair. His fingers holding tightly ad he had pulled up forcefully. "Go ahead, fight. Soon your father will pick you up in a bag at St Mungos." With more force, he pulled her to her feet just by her hair; and once again, tossed her into that wall. A smirk appearing as he had found himself gaining satisfaction from her pain. -Before she could even run, or hit the ground once again- Thaddeus placed his hands on her shoulders nailing her to the wall. His eyes direct with hers. "Perhaps you'll be visiting the hospital much sooner if you keep it up? Hmm?"

Laurel stared at Thad as he continued to use her last name calling her a dog and other various things to continue to raise her temper. If it weren’t for the other day in the tower with Damien she wouldn’t be doing anything of this. She wouldn’t be enduring this. She would continue to fold her arms and pretend she didn’t know anything like a good Slytherin girl. She bit down on her lip shaking her head. ”I have a name,” Laur spat. ”It’s Laurel in case you have forgotten,” She mocked. Laurel had held her ground decently but the second he took a few steps closer her hair gave her away. The red slowly fading back to its scared color; she let out a small yelp as he grabbed her hair forcing her to her feet. Her hands went immediately to his fist trying to get him off of her scalp. She felt herself collide against the wall once more. She was going to have to use all the make-up she owned to cover this all up. She couldn’t go to the Hospital Wing that proved to Thad that he won. That she needed help. She couldn’t show her family. She would just hide it all. She could do that. She was strong enough. Laurel squinted as he turned her pinning her shoulders to the wall.
Laurel tried. She tried for Damien. She tried being this mighty woman he wanted and thought her to be. But she was scared. She felt like she was six years old again staring into her father’s eyes. She didn’t mean it, she was sorry. She didn’t know how to make things right. Laur felt a tear slip from the corner of her eye. She wasn’t quite sure she was sad but so frustrated she lost the ability for words. ”Hopsital Wing means questions Thad, how I got all of this and such. You don’t want more trouble,” Laur could feel the blood from her lip trickle down her chin. She didn’t have use of her hands anymore because Thad had pinned her against the wall. She struggled slightly against his arms she had to admit he was strong. She wasn’t going anywhere. ”But fine—if you want to send me packing to a hospital—do it. I don’t think you understand—you can’t make me hate myself even more then I already do—“ Laur struggled once more against his arms.
She could feel another tear slipping from her eye. ”I’m not doing this for me alone—I’m doing it for my future and the people I care about and love,” Laur let her chin fall against her chest; her bangs falling over her eyes. ”You used to be one of those people Thad. What happened?” Laur wasn’t sure how to get unpinned from the wall. If he so much mentioned those others that she loved she would fall apart. They were who she was fighting for. She could care less what happened to her. Thad could tear her limb from limb but she promised Damien she would try and here she was—trying.
