The Leaky Cauldron had always been one of Jason's favorite places, outside of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade of course. Hogsmeade was closer, but the problem with the pubs there was that he was almost always around students. He wasn't Jason Wilde at the Three Broomsticks. Instead he was Professor Wilde. It got to be annoying sometimes. He really did care about his students but he didn't necessarily want them to see him slouching at the bar holding a mix between firewhiskey and to be quite honest he didn't know what else. He didn't really get drunk, but while he was relaxed as a professor, he doubted it would be good for his job if he was frequently seen drinking. So he wasn't. This was one of the rare times that Jason just wanted to relax – drink whatever he wanted to drink and do whatever he wanted to do. He didn't think anyone could really fault him for that.
Besides, it wasn't as though he was doing anything illegal. He was just sitting at the bar and having a drink. Literally, because he hadn't made plans with anyone. In hindsight, that might have not been the greatest idea. Perhaps he should have invited a co-worker out to have a drink with him, but he didn't know if that would be crossing some sort of unspoken line. He was sure that some of them got together and hung out, but he wasn't exactly sure what the protocol was there. Did you wait to be invited or did you just invite yourself? And would having a drink off campus be taboo? Well if it was, Jason didn't particularly care.
His muggle clothing earned him a few looks, but most of them were curious, he assumed. The pub had a muggle entrance but Jason was fairly certain that there were rarely any muggles in here. The place was too dark and dusty to be a place anyone would want to go... unless you had already been in there of course. So while there were a few people wearing jeans, like himself, the majority of the people were still in their witch and wizard robes. Jason wrinkled his nose without actually knowing he had done so. He had always preferred things like the outfit he was wearing now, jeans and a fitted blue t-shirt with a black jacket, than the clothing most witches and wizards seemed to find appropriate. He just thought everyone looked like they were wearing dresses. Jason took another sip of his drink, realizing how awful it was but not caring enough to ask for something else.

THEY LIKE TO SEE YOU THERE !
knock shop in oxford street
one where the vampires meet
silk purse, pink tie and all of that
words: 541 outfit: click !tagged: jason/amber <3 notes: sorry for the wait ! Whenever Dom had a day off, she found herself hanging around the reserve and helping out where help was needed, or spending the entire day cleaning the space she occupied on a daily basis. In other words, she never did anything fun on her days off. The days she did work were always filled with adventure and fun, so she usually opted against going out. Plus, her friends from the reserve were usually working whenever she had a day off, which meant she had no one to go out with! But not tonight. No, tonight she was going to go out and have fun. But where to go out… if she had still been a student at Hogwarts, she’d have gone to the Three Broomsticks, or even the Hogs Head, but now that she was an adult, she risked seeing her family members there. As much as she loved them, getting drunk off her arse in front of them all wasn’t that high up on her list of priorities. But she also didn’t want to go somewhere that she’d risk getting picked up by some old creep, so the obvious choice was the Leaky Cauldron! The blonde looked herself over in her bathroom mirror, adding a smidgen more mascara with a large wand before recapping the tube and taking a step back. Perfect. Her hair was down in a mess of tangled blonde curls, and her makeup was bold enough to make her eyes pop, but not bold enough to be considered over the top. Her outfit was much the same; her black leather leggings and white crop top matching brilliantly with her blue leather jacket and aged gold necklace. The brown heeled booties that she’d decided on were more based on comfort than anything else, but she still thought they looked cute! It was a perfect mix of daring, yet classy, (at least in Dom’s mind), and she felt a rush of confidence surge through her as she apparated from her bedroom to the street just outside the small pub. She paused for a moment outside the pub to shake her fingers through her hair, (a sure way to create more volume, according to Vic), before entering the small establishment. The pub was rather dark, and almost everywhere you looked there were at least a few specks of dust, but it was cozy and not crowded enough to be a nuisance. Dom felt only slightly out of place in her muggle getup, but it was how she normally dressed, and no one was going to force her into a pair of stuffy robes. Once she’d established that she did, in fact want to stay there, Dom made her way over to the bar, taking a seat on one of the stool beside someone that looked vaguely familiar. Not bothering to really consider him, she ordered a firewhiskey mixed with a bit of soda, thanking the bartender once it arrived. It was only after her first refreshing sip that she realized who she was sitting beside. ”Pro- Hi Jason!” She beamed, momentarily forgetting that she probably shouldn’t be calling him professor anymore, but quickly correcting herself. Hopefully he’d be inclined to talk to her, as drinking alone was never any fun. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF SHINE

There didn't seem to be a whole lot going on in the little pub. That was both good and bad. Good because Jason didn't really want to deal with anything. Bad because it would have been nice to have a little entertainment. Leave it to Jason to pick the one day to go to the pub when nothing was going on. Well at least he wouldn't be getting into any trouble. It was his second year teaching at Hogwarts and the last thing he needed was to show up in the Daily Prophet. He could see the headline in his mind already: First Professor to Teach DADA Twice Arrested. Yes, that would just look lovely. Not that he really believed he would get arrested. He was a former Auror and he was pretty sure his former colleagues wouldn't be fond of taking him into Azkaban. And there was professional courtesy to think about. Not to mention that if something did happen, Jason probably would be on the good side of things. He had his moments where he was afraid he had the potential to go bad, but he thought it might have just been because of the sort of work he had chosen to do. Dealing with the Dark Arts seemed to spark his curiosity at times.
He was wondering how long he could stand staying in the pub when he heard his name. Well, he heard someone start to call him professor and then changed it to his name. Before even looking at her, Jason knew that that meant the person had been a student of his. Which meant he taught the person the previous year. As he turned to greet the person he realized that it was Dominique Weasley. It was hard to forget a Weasley, especially since they seemed to never leave the school. He was currently teaching quite a few students from that family. The last he had heard from this particular Weasley, she had gone off to train dragons. He envied her just a little for that. He thoroughly enjoyed what he was doing now, but who wouldn't be in awe of someone who worked with one of the more dangerous magical creatures the world had to offer? “Dominique! How are you? Visiting one of your cousins?” He looked around quickly to make sure none of the students had made it to Diagon Alley. They weren't supposed to be there. Hogsmeade was really the furthest from Hogwarts the students got to go during the school year.
