house/occupation: Gryffindor
bloodstatus: Both parents are muggleborn
wands: 11 inches cedar, with a unicorn hair core. It is quite stiff at times but seems almost to loosen up as Bianca does.

height: 1.72 m
weight: 8.2 stone
general description:
Though it doesn't make a noise, what comes to one's mind about Bianca's hair is loud. Chestnut brown coils fly non-uniformly in every direction. She prefers it to be natural, mainly because she doesn't like to waste her time with it. It can be frizzy by the end of day but to keep it from disturbing others she ties it into a bunch or a bun.
Still in her awkward phase, Bianca is long and lanky. However, she has many traits that are considered beautiful to make up for her size. Her skin is a light mocha, making most colors flattering to wear. She also has large maple eyes that take up most of her face, even if she isn't smiling.

history:
Darius and Rochelle met at Hogwarts but it wasn't until many years later that a romance blossomed. Rochelle was much younger just fresh from school and Darius traveled a lot as an apprentice to a broomstick maker. Eventually, when Darius settled as a salesman for Nimbus Brooms he asked for Rochelle's hand in marriage. The couple were well into their 30's when any thoughts of children came along. Bianca was their first and one was just enough for them until Yvonne came along.
While the girls were still very young, Yvonne became ill. The ailment stumped even the best healers at St. Mungos, leaving the Quincys to treat their youngest daughter at home. Rochelle was a whiz in potions, creating some to combat Yvonne's symptoms but the girl had many pains. Bianca was kept far from her sister but would sneak in to see her. The worst was expected but the little girl made a full recovery.
Since then, the overprotective Bianca vowed to always care for her sister. She grew up with the dream to be a healer and help others. At Hogwarts she excels in potions and charms and works hard to her goal. She doesn't mind getting messy and blood doesn't deter her. The girl doesn't show much fear in anything except bugs but even then, creepy crawlers don't bother her too much.
Bianca will go out of her way for anyone, no matter what it is. Her chivalrous nature often gets her in trouble, though, especially when she knows she should get help from an adult. She can also become obsessive over things and loses all track of the world around her. Another problem she has is that she worries about others way too much and never thinks much of herself. She can also be overbearing, causing others to think of her as bossy.
Both Quincy girls are musically enclined, Bianca with the violin and Yvonne with the piano. Rochelle's muggle parents were both musicians and taught their granddaughters. At school, Bianca keeps this a secret mainly because she doesn't want to be known as a softy. To her, artists aren't hardworkers and knowing music is a hobby. She doesn't think it will get her anywhere in life.
After Yvonne's illness subsided, Bianca gave her sister a kitten as a present. They have collected three others since then. Bianca's love of cats comes from both of her parents. When she's away at Hogwarts she misses her parents but her cats more.
As little girls and every summer since, Darius would take his daughters to the shop with him. Bianca's seriousness about rules clashed with his light-hearted personality causing Bianca to almost resent her father. However, she grew out of this and now only dislikes broomsticks, Quidditch and anything to do with his business. Yvonne now helps her father during Summer holidays and Bianca stays at home with her mother. It tears into her relationship with her father but they both try their best to stay close.
Now in her fifth year at Hogwarts, Bianca hasn't made much of a name for herself outside of class. She has a very intimate group of friends, mainly because she doesn't use free time to socialize. Boys hardly cross her mind, but of course she fancies somebody. She is just too busy with OWLs, homework and getting a good night's sleep to think about dating. At least, she thinks she is.- - - - - - -

sample:
When it came to love and romance, Bianca was a hopeless case. She never dated anyone even if there was a boy that she fancied. But the problem with that was she never talked much to boys unless it was school related. To her, passing was more important than socializing. Really, she lived at a school, she's supposed to be studying. Isn't that a Ravenclaw trait, though, education before fun? Perhaps, but the young Gryffindor didn't mind pushing romance behind to focus on exams or homework. Besides, her parents didn't get together until they left Hogwarts.
These thoughts came to Bianca's mind as she stared at a poster on the wall opposite of her. It was one of those fancy, laminated posters that worked almost like a sign. The Quidditch team used them for announcing matches and the girl almost thought it was one since she was in the common room. It wasn't for a match or any Quidditch related program. The poster was for a carnival and when Bianca realized it she got a thrill in her abdomen.
Carnivals were fun to any teenage girl and Bianca, despite her studious self, was no exception. It was normal for her to sometimes ignore activities outside of school and lock herself in her dorm room to finish a paper or get herself ahead in the reading. But Bianca did enjoy visiting Hogsmeade village when the opportunity arose. Her eyes surveyed the announcement that was stuck on the wall and felt the lump of excitement over what she would wear and who she would go with.
And then her heart skipped a beat.
Bianca didn't have a real crush on anyone. There were a few blokes around the castle that she thought were gorgeous but none of them she really paid attention to. School was important to Bianca and since she had given herself so many hobbies already - tutoring, attending to her cat, helping clean up after potions class - the girl didn't think she'd have the time for a romantic relationship. Geez, the girl hardly had any friends that she could call 'close.'
Would everyone go to the carnival with a date? Bianca didn't expect it, just friends going together in groups. She thought to just invite her sister, Yvonne, along with her if her friends didn't want to go. But maybe she would pick the courage to at least ask a bloke, she didn't have to make a lifetime commitment out of it. As she observed with friends, a date could lead to a relationship but one didn't have to come out a date.
Who would she ask? Thinking no one was around, Bianca giggled as she thought of her choices. Most likely she'd ask someone from Gryffindor since most of the time people socialize within their own house. Yet, there were lots of other boys that she thought were cute and could possibly be interested in her.
She shook her head at the thought.
In the lonely echo of the common room, Bianca stretched in the chair she was sitting in, pulled a book from her bag, sat down and began to read.
