Fraser:So, um... I found a kitten. I know that I should probably have just left it alone or something, but you didn't see it; seriously, it had one of the cutest faces ever, plus it was fluffy and ginger and bleeding out everywhere, so who can blame me, right? I'm guessing you've noticed my animal-adoption habits by now, but don't freak out when you get home and realise there's an addition to the family. He's still practically dead and probably in shock or something, so... yeah, he needs stability in his life. Play nice. --Teddy

My Bambino,
Do you know how many animals you've brought home that've died? A lot. Like, half a dozen at least. Just don't get your hopes up because I'm guessing its chances of survival are pretty slim. Seriously though, it's a kitten so don't go stressing over it's 'stability' either, dumbo.
(By the way, I always play nice. You know that.)

Fraser:It is really necessary for you to remind me of the fact that nearly all the animals I bring back with me die? I get that Carlisle was the only one which actually lived, but you really don't need to call me out on it. I know I'm pretty shitty at this whole caring thing. Anyway, this one's in a pretty stable condition, I think (at least, he's not bleeding but seems to still be breathing, which is generally a good sign).
If you honestly think that it being a kitten makes its life any less valuable, then there's something wrong with you. I'd appreciate it if you at least tried to welcome him into the household, as well - I know you probably can't understand this because you haven't seen him yet, but I can't just let him die. Just... be nice to him when you get back, okay? He's really cute. --Teddy

My Bambino,
Jeez! I'm sorry, okay? It's not your fault they died - if anything you lengthened their lives a little bit. Calm yourself.
Oh, honey-bun, I love it when you get all cutesy-protective. It makes me feel all tingly inside. But, yes, I never said I wasn't going to welcome it. I'm just concerned that it'll die and you'll be all mopey for ages. Kitties are cool, I know that. I pinky promise I'll treat it well.

Fraser: I have absolutely no idea if you're trying to reassure me, or if you're still trying to remind me that nearly everything I attempt to look after dies in the end. I'm just going to hope you're pretending to be nice, because I'm not really in the mood to consider the alternative. To be honest, you're not doing much to boost my confidence that this little kitty's gonna live. I've already said that it doesn't look like it's planning on passing away; what else do you want? If he does end up dying then I give you permission to laugh at me and shout 'I told you so' but until then, please attempt to be optimistic about this. Mentioning death around the weak is probably some extremely bad omen or something.
Thanks for agreeing to be nice to him, though. I'd never have forgiven you if you'd been planning on acting any differently - you know that, right?

My Bambino,
Teddy-Bear, lighten up. You're literally acting like a stressed mother right now. I will shower the little kitty in love, care and affection; just like I do with you.<3333
