Teddy was a little child. Haunted by nightmares most nights (because, yeah, Fraser had noticed) and still struggling to deal with them. Fraser felt an odd surge of pity towards his friend but forgave himself for feeling something so weak because he wasn't fully awake at the moment. He smiled up at the metamorphmagus, happy to be thanked for his support. That's one of the reasons why he truly liked Teddy - the man was a polite and civilised wizard. That was true for the majority of the time, unless Fraser went and pissed him off.
His eyebrows furrowed. Had he just heard Teddy correctly or was his sleepy mind playing tricks? Nope, Teddy definitely asked for a hug. Fraser couldn't resist to not oblige to the photographer's wishes because he was generally a 'huggy' person around his friends. "Anything for you, Teddy-Bear." Fraser bit back a snicker at himself. He knew he shouldn't tease Teddy when he was so wound up over his nightmare but he was far from being his most arsehole-ish now.
Slowly, Fraser sat up next to Teddy. Before doing anything else, he pushed his curls out of his face so he could see a little better and then wrapped his arms around his friend. He always loved getting to snuggle with his Teddy-Bear, as he usually wasn't allowed. "Better?" he whispered, his hand gently rubbing against Teddy's arm.
Fraser's eyes lingered on the window, observing the night sky. Since a young age he'd been fascinated by the varying sight and astronomy had been one of his favourite subjects at Hogwarts. He didn't let go of Teddy, his mind simply slipped away; names of constellations and hazy memories of old lessons in the astronomy tower replayed in his head as his gaze remained trained on the stars.OUTFIT click NOTES lOOK AT THE STAARS LOOK HOW THEY SHINEEE 4 UUU~ TAGGED teddy-bear

While Edward’s request could probably have easily been viewed as bizarre, it didn’t seem that Fraser was prepared to make fun of him for it – or perhaps it was just that he hadn’t quite woken up enough yet to be fully aware of the peculiarity of the situation. Either way, the halfblood was grateful for it. “Thanks.” There was a slight ghost of a smile on Teddy’s lips, which he tried his best to tamp down; he didn’t need his co-worker to think he was a psychopath. Shuffling over on the bed slightly so as to give the pureblood a little more room when he sat up, it was clear that he felt a little more relaxed now that he’d been guaranteed comfort. As Fraser wrapped his arms around the photographer’s shoulders – a gesture that would have been soothing under any circumstances – the redhead couldn’t help a little murmur of satisfaction. If there was one thing which his friend excelled at, it was hugging others… which was rather nice.
Leaning his head against Fraser’s shoulder, the wizard found himself almost instantly calmer. “Much.”, he murmured quietly, finding the small movement of the brunet’s hand against his arm altogether placating. Tilting his head upward after a few moments of silence, he watched Fraser as he glanced out of the window. It was rather obvious that he had an interest in the sky, by the way his eyes had almost glazed over as he stared out at the night. Honestly, he looked beautiful in his tranquillity (okay, he was never unattractive, but such things were hardly consequential at the current moment) that Edward couldn’t even be held accountable for his actions that followed: turning around slightly in Fraser’s arms to kiss him gently. Regretting the movement almost immediately – Merlin, what was he thinking? – he ducked back down afterward. Mumbling a quick little apology before falling back into silence once more, he avoided Fraser’s eyes and the emotions that were likely to lie in them. “S-sorry. I shouldn’t have… done that.” Rather than pulling away from his companion as he may have had the situation been different, he stayed where he was. It was blatant that Teddy was uncomfortable with the situation, the fact he didn’t feel the need to escape straight away surely had to be a start.

Not many people managed to do a good job of taking Fraser Leporarius by surprise - but Teddy had certainly succeeded. Snapping out of his silent, tired reverie, Fraser stared at Teddy for a few long moments. The redhead had apologised and then stayed. In fact, Teddy had barely moved away from him. Fraser was confused as to why Teddy had a)randomly kissed him and b)not fled afterwards. It wasn't something for him to think to deeply into since the whole situation was hardly bothersome to the pureblood.
Once he'd caught up with reality, his head firmly in the present, another smirk crept onto his features. "I don't mind," he said lightly, "doesn't that mean we're equal now?" Fraser's mind was turning this little twist in their relationship into some kind of game already without him meaning to, it had honestly been automatic for him to do so. He kissed Teddy, Teddy kissed him, what came next? And what was the prize? It was a subconscious distraction to how Fraser really cared about Teddy and didn't want to mess up their odd partnership. He wasn't used to giving a damn about others, therefore his mind was minimally equipped to do so.
In the semi-darkness Fraser found Teddy's hand and held it in his own, just because. Maybe it was kind of to make sure Teddy couldn't run away. If he tried to, Fraser would go ahead and tighten his grip so his Teddy-Bear stayed close. Nobody was running this time.OUTFIT click NOTES lOOK AT THE STAARS LOOK HOW THEY SHINEEE 4 UUU~ TAGGED teddy-bear
