Every morning with the weather permitting of course, Ezio could be found running around the Black Lake by five thirty or six am, and finishing around eight am with a half hour swim in the lake. Since it was about eight ten at this point, Ezio was just emerging from the water and wading towards the shore. He really did enjoy his time in the water. Every once in while the giant squid would chase him around for fun, allowing Ezio to get a really nice work out. Contrary to what some people thought, it wasn’t all just good looks, money, and skill that kept people on Quidditch teams. One also needed to be in decent shape, and the young Italian rather liked to be in good shape than just decent shape.
Reaching one of the many trees at the edge of the lake, Ezio reached out and grabbed the towel that had been left for him by one of the school elves. It was rather thoughtful of them since Ezio had once again forgotten one, but perhaps it was almost part of their morning routine by now; start breakfast, clean the halls, and bring towels to people who worked out early in the mornings. He smiled as he toweled off his hair, letting the morning sun warm him a bit. His early morning routine also allowed him time before the rest of the school woke up to work off some of the frustration his home life constantly dumped on him, even when he wasn’t at home. It bothered him greatly when he didn’t hear from his cousin, Amelia, for more than a week. He had always thought of her as the little sister he’d never had, and the family he’d lost.
As the worst possible scenarios of why she hadn’t written in so long passed through his head, he put the towel down and grabbed for his shirt that he had left hanging on a tree limb.

This had been considered quite a hectic week for Dahlia. School work, dealing with her fathers nagging letters, and trying to separate herself from Thaddeus Lestrange. Yes, she had felt bad for him at first but noticing his true side.. that was enough to push anyone aside. She was willing to help him and make something work, but it failed horribly. - Letting out a sigh, she brushed her fingers through her long dark curls trying to regain her sanity after the past couple of days. Allowing things to get out of hand was beyond her. Usually she was one to put a stop to everything. Especially after what had happened to her in the past. But, the booze had apparently gotten the best of her sending the poor slytherin girl to the floor. "Why, Dahl." She knew if her brother were to find out about it, he would make a quick visit to the snake boy and hand him a piece of his own medicine. Hopefully it wouldn't go to that extent.
Casually, she made her way towards the black lake. Books in hand. She just needed to get away and gather her thoughts. Hide from the world, more like it. She couldn't face anyone after this. It was just as bad as he previous break up with another boy. Someone she had held and cherished deeply. But, like usual, she was able to push him away and not know the reason. Was he embarrassed of her? Embarrassed to be seen with the Nott girl? Hopefully that hadn't been it. - Kicking up a couple of small rocks, Dahlia looked up quickly only to notice that face she didn't wish to see. Not yet, at least. She couldn't face him. Not now - Dahlia found it hard to turn back now after she had clearly been spotted.
Taking in another deep breath, she continued forward. Maybe it was best to talk to him now. Maybe she needed to vent and get it all out tohim. Find out as to why he had left on such short notice and called it quits. The only reason she could think of happened to be her father. Maybe he had spoke of something that frightened him off. Made him go away. -- Pushing past the bushes Dahlia came to a complete stop and looked to him. Her bright blue eyes focused on nothing but his bare chest. Oh, how she had missed every sweet inch of him.
"Ezio?" He voice was low and soft. As it had always been. "What are you going out here?" After all of these months of not seeing one another, and the castle being the way it had been, it had felt as if they had just met all over again. She wasn't used to seeing him.

Even though Ezio had been facing the direction Dahlia had come from, he hadn't seen her coming. His mind had been too absorbed in his family problems. His friends always told him it wasn't healthy that he worried about it so much. The only time he didn't seem to let it rule his life was when he was in the air on a broom or when he was practicing more advanced spells for various classes especially defense against the dark arts.
Once she spoke Ezio's head jerked towards her as he let his black t-shirt fall over his chest. He was shocked to see her. Although I suppose he shouldn't really be that shocked since it wasn't as if she didn't attend Hogwarts any more, he just hadn't seen her or really talked to her since last year. Last year when he had practically run from her like a spooked horse.
"I'm always out here," he said bluntly. He cringed inwardly at how that must have sounded to her. Most men may not have realized how bad that could be construed by a woman, but Ezio cousin, although young had educated him greatly in weird twisting.
"I meant I always work out in the morning and end with a swim." He wanted to end by saying he thought she knew that, but it seemed rather rude, and his father had managed to teach him not to be rude.
"I haven't seen you in while, even at meals. How have you been and what brings you out so early?"

In an odd sense, Dahlia had a small feeling that she wasn't welcomed like she used to be. Ever since Ezio had called it quits with her and wished for them to only be friends. - It wasn't that she didn't mind that idea, but the hard thing was letting him go and moving on. He knew more about her than her own closest friend. But that was the past and she had to let it go. She had to forget about it all and move on with her life. Not dwell.on something that would never mend its own self. "As you can see I have not left my house in quite sometime due to failing classes." Shockingly, that was not Dahlia. This girl was always ready and willing to learn. She never let anything get in her way of school. But with what happened last year, and her recent split, it pulled her down quickly.
Looking over the lake, she focused back in on the half dressed Ezio. "And I am sorry I have forgotten that you enjoy this sort of stuff... My brain tends to shut down after I have been slightly broken." Her stomach still panged from the last split. It hurt to think about it on certain days, but most she had finally found a way to recuperate. Quidditch and a new friend. It was what she had needed. Not bottle things up inside like her delusional mother and father. "Everytime I walk past you in the halls, you find some way to ignore me. - And don't think I don't notice." Her voice was slipping with the thought. Tears bound to break. But, thankfully, she was able to hold them back. Hood them back before he happened to notice.
She listened to his question about meals and her disappearance. boy, had he noticed finally?" Shrugging her shoulders, she pursed her lips. "I have been dining with the professors. - I have allot to catch up on." It was the truth. "But, I see you're getting along just well."
