STOP RIGHT THERE. THAT'S EXACTLY WHERE I LOST IT. SEE THAT LINE WELL I NEVER SHOULD OF CROSSED IT.i never should of said that its the very moment that i wish that i could take back the first thing that had popped into his head that morning was that he needed coffee, or something sort of beverage with enough caffeine to keep him awake. he shook his head as he began to get ready for breakfast. he knew he was going to regret this later and looked what happened. he was groggy and did not want leave his comfortable bed. he seriously needed to get his priorities straightened out. shoving the covers to the right side of his bed he got out and began his morning routine, albeit half asleep. time sure seemed to go by when he was busy with school work, chatting with friends or just walking down the halls. the grogginess had left him, but he still felt tired. why he decided to stay up that late, was beyond him. or more like why didn't he do that assignment on time. he wasn't too much of a slacker, but eventually there had been random assignments that seemed way to easy and he would simply tell himself that he would do it later. later never happened, he usually forgot or was busy with something else. it wouldn't be till the end of the night or if someone happens to comment about it would he remember what he had forgotten. he figured his thoughts were all over the place because it was final year at school. he was excited and nervous in more ways than one. he had been so lost in thought that he almost didn't notice the other students getting up and leaving the classroom. he quickly retrieved his belongings and made his way out the door. he didn't have class until later, so he had a hour or so of free period. a small yawn escaped his lips and he made his way down towards the lower levels of hogwarts. maybe it would of been better to toss his things in his room before heading down in search of caffeine. too late to turn back now was the thought that ran through his mind as his search began. maybe instead of coffee a nice hot chocolate would do. he was nearing the kitchens or so he thought. he quickly and unexpectedly knelt down to tie his shoe. he felt like he was close, but it wasn't reasonable to start asking around. after all weren't the kitchens suppose to be off limits. a quick trip shouldn't do too much harm.

dive dive dive dive dive TAKE THE DIVE Corey smiled, waking up was one of her favorite things to do. Now, most people, often considered to be 'normal', would have loved to stay in their warm cozy bed; and do completely nothing at all during the day. Corey, however, wanted to wake up and see the people who 'loved' her.
Corey was most definitely pleased by attention, and she realized the only way to get any was to drag her lazy butt out of bed and walk around the school and it's captivating campus. And so, she woke up, did her hair and makeup; put on a fancy outfit and headed out.
First, she was in search of something warm. Her knit sweater wasn't doing the trick, and although the kitchens were clearly off limits to students; she was sure she could grab something elsewhere. Or, break the rules if it were her last resort.
As she walked, many people greeted her in the hallways, making Corey smile and beam with happiness. Not paying attention to where she was going, Corey was shocked when she nearly tripped over someone who was tying their shoes.
Thank goodness alot of people weren't here to see that! She huffed to herself, as the ones who were laughed lightly at her. She turned to the boy she'd almost tripped over. She recognized him: he was in her year, and her house. "Sorry! I should've paid a bit more attention." Corey gave a small, apologetic smile.

STOP RIGHT THERE. THAT'S EXACTLY WHERE I LOST IT. SEE THAT LINE WELL I NEVER SHOULD OF CROSSED IT.i never should of said that its the very moment that i wish that i could take back maybe he was exaggerating just a tiny bit, but he figured if he would just sit down in a nice quiet place he would fall asleep in seconds. if it hadn't been for someone running into him, he could of just sat down to take a nap. probably not the most secure place to take a nap considering the dungeons was snake territory. not that he was the type to start any conflicts. he could help finish them, if he saw they needed some assistance. adrian really wasn't the violent type. though he completely understood that words just didn't get to some people. it was actions that made them react. he had been so lost in thought he almost didn't catch the girl's words. was it sad to say that he really didn't feel people bumping into him anymore. the hallways were always crowded when it was time to change class, especially at the beginning of the term. he had grown accustom to it. he managed to finish tying his shoes before standing up. a small smile on his face, he couldn't help but chuckle in response. he let her finish her sentence before replying with a shake of his head."no, its alright. you know i was hiding and stuff. im not that easy to spot."he said jokingly. the dark haired girl struck him as familiar. as you could probably assume, adrian wasn't that much of a social butterfly. it had been hard for him to want to make friends at the when he was a first year. he simply pushed people away and never even gave them a chance. of course that all changed, and it did take a bit of help. he figured they were in the same year, but where did he remember her from. he wasn't even going to risk the possibility of him getting her name wrong. it would be embarrassing in more ways then one."sorry, about that. are you alright?"

dive dive dive dive dive TAKE THE DIVE Corey tried and failed to hold back a little chuckle as the other student gave her one. She blushed a bit, not wanting to seem as though she was making fun of him, which of course, she wasn't. After all, it had been her who'd tripped over him. "No, really, I probably should have been paying more attention."
She gave another apologetic smile, "Oh, I'm fine. You?" Corey wasn't really one for remembering things, but she did remember him from somewhere. Definitely from her common room, and from having class with him.
Honestly, Corey probably knew his name, but just couldn't pull it from the depths of her brain. Then she remembered her defense against the dark arts class, and went out on a limb, "Your name is Adrian, right?"
Hopefully she'd gotten it right, because between tripping over him - literally - and disturbing what was probably his (at least somewhat) peaceful morning, getting his name wrong would be the cherry on top of the 'I'm officially humiliated' flavored sundae.
Thankfully, her memory was starting to come back to her, and Corey was pretty sure she'd hit the nail on the head. She smiled again, "Mind me asking where you were headed?" She figured the least she could do was buy the poor fellow a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. She was already in search of some nice, hot tea anyways.
"If it's not out of your way, I'd like to treat you to a cup of something warm," she smiled again, letting out a slight shiver, "it's chilly and I'm pretty sure I just ruined your morning, or at least put a damper on it."

STOP RIGHT THERE. THAT'S EXACTLY WHERE I LOST IT. SEE THAT LINE WELL I NEVER SHOULD OF CROSSED IT.i never should of said that its the very moment that i wish that i could take back adrian managed a friendly grin as his words caused her to laugh. he simply nodded as he figured trying to see was more to blame would become a bit tiring. everything seemed fine and no one was hurt. embarrassed, was probably the most likely, but physically hurt no one. adrian shook his head slightly as she began to apologize."well that's good, and yeah im alright. just promise that you won't try to attack me from behind."adrian said jokingly as he grabbed his bag before standing up. now that he could see her more clearly. his mind started going through random faces and names. her's was starting to surface. he was sure to have at least seen her at the ravenclaw table for some kind of meal. most kids were busy scarfing down the food that appeared at the table, than socialize so early in the morning. she caught him off guard when she asked his name."yeah, you're not stalking me are you?"he said teasingly. trying to come up with a name for her would be humiliating and he didn't want to embarrass her anymore than he probably already had."you're corey, if im not mistaken."he said more or less to himself. if it hadn't been for a group of people whispering behind them he wouldn't of been able to remember. wasn't she always surrounded by people. he thought to himself. rarely did he notice those type of people. adrian was a down to earth kid. popularity and the like did not interest him what so ever. he shook his head at her question."actually i was going to go find some coffee or anything that has caffeine."he told her honestly. he smiled at her and shook his head once again."that sounds good, and don't worry about it. its not everyday a cute girl tries to run me over."he said teasingly.

dive dive dive dive dive TAKE THE DIVE Corey laughed lightly, "No, don't worry, I'm not stalking you, I just have a few classes with you." She smiled. She laughed again, "And no, I'm not going to attack you from behind, either."
She enjoyed her new acquaintance's sense of humor. Though her best-friend, Albus, definitely topped anyone's, Adrian did give a certain something to it that Albus just didn't have - what, Corey didn't know. But hopefully they'd become good enough friends for her to find out.
She blushed lightly, "Well, we were probably headed to the same place, then. Unless you were going to try and get something from the kitchens. Otherwise I know a great place in Hogsmeade, if you're interested?"
Honestly, she wasn't in the mood for breaking the rules today. If she had too, she would, but it just wasn't on her agenda for the day - and boy did she have a busy one. Three papers to write, and then down to Potions do see what she could do about extra credit, since she was pretty much failing.
But at least she'd made a new friend, which would help her to forget about all of the things she had to do when she got back to the common room.

STOP RIGHT THERE. THAT'S EXACTLY WHERE I LOST IT. SEE THAT LINE WELL I NEVER SHOULD OF CROSSED IT.i never should of said that its the very moment that i wish that i could take back okay she got him with that remark. of course he wasn't going to tell her that he sucked at remembering names and faces of people that he didn't know. it would of been a bit rude, or so adrian thought."of course. classes."he made it sound like she had an ulterior motive for attending class, but that was not his intention. not a drop of caffeine in his system and this boy sure did perk up when someone almost toppled over him. of course he wasn't going to deny that he could still go for that cup of coffee or something that had sugar. it seemed like they were both desperate to get something caffeinated, or in her case warm. it isn't everyday one bumps into a fellow classmate down in the cold dungeons. after all it is kind of the last place you should go looking for anything warm. he smiled at her, taking notice of her slight blush. he figured he had teased her enough and he wasn't going to comment on her rosy cheeks. he nodded at her suggestion of going to hogsmeade. yes it was a bit of a longer trip, depending how you got there. he had stories of people finding secret entrances, but in all honestly. adrian had to see them to believe it. unless his source was actually trustworthy. he shook his head, laughing slightly at her question."no. never. i wouldn't dare think of bending the rules for coffee or something."he said with a slight wink."you didn't hear that from me."he told her with a nod."hogsmeade seems like a safer choice and im sure they'd have a variety of places to choose from. lead the way."adrian commented as he figured he'd turn to leave the dungeons.
